CUSTOM JEWELRY · OEM / ODM · YIWU, CHINA
Custom jewelry manufacturing in China, from 100 pieces per SKU
Novelty develops custom and private-label earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings and brooches through its Yiwu production operation and a product-specific supplier network. Materials can include metal, resin, acrylic, enamel and mixed components, as confirmed in the specification. Standard orders start at 100 finished pieces per SKU; different colours, sizes or designs are counted separately.

First-order planning
Samples using available references are commonly ready in 3 to 7 business days after the brief, required specifications and materials are confirmed. New colour, finish or packaging work commonly takes 7 to 15 business days. New tooling, unusual materials and revisions are scheduled in the quotation.
Tooling, specialised materials, finishes and complex packaging may require a higher minimum or a separately agreed schedule. The quotation confirms the sample scope, development charges and packing requirements before work begins.
TWO DEVELOPMENT ROUTES
Choose the route that fits your launch.
FULL CUSTOM · OEM / ODM
Build a product from your design or direction.
Send a drawing, physical sample, reference image or product direction with materials, dimensions, intended user, target market, quantity by SKU and target cost. We review construction and tooling needs, prepare the agreed sample and document the specification for approval.
PRIVATE LABEL
Adapt an existing design for a faster launch.
An available design or construction can be reviewed for agreed branding, material or finish choices and packaging. This route may reduce development work, but each colour, size or design is still a separate SKU with its own minimum. The quotation confirms availability, permitted use and any new tooling or design work.
| Decision | Full custom | Private label using an available construction |
|---|---|---|
| Starting input | Buyer drawing, reference or product direction. | An available design or construction reviewed for permitted use. |
| Development | Materials, construction and tooling assessed for the proposed design. | Branding, approved adaptations and packaging assessed. |
| Minimum | Normally 100 finished pieces for each colour, size or design SKU; higher minimums reviewed for special requirements. | Normally 100 finished pieces for each colour, size or design SKU; higher minimums reviewed for special requirements. |
| Approval | Sample, specification, artwork, ownership and testing scope. | Selected reference, adaptations, artwork, permitted use and packaging. |
MATERIALS & FINISHES
Specify the look, wear and market requirements.
| Material or construction | Choices to confirm before sampling |
|---|---|
| 925 silver | Material declaration, construction, finish and any required hallmark or testing review. |
| Stainless steel | Specified grade, construction, finish or plating and required evidence. |
| Brass and alloy | Base material, coating or plating, colour standard, wear expectations and relevant tests. |
| Resin and acrylic | Shape, thickness, colour, translucency, layers, assembly, surface and edge finish. |
| Polymer clay | Colour palette, dimensions, texture, findings and construction. |
| Enamel | Artwork, colour references, plating, attachment and backing presentation. |
Material descriptions and performance claims are checked against the proposed specification and available evidence. Restricted-substance or nickel-release testing is arranged where applicable to the product, finish, intended user and market. A material name does not establish compliance.

Developing resin and acrylic statement jewelry
For a brooch, earring or pendant, review the artwork and construction together. The sample brief records colour and transparency, overall dimensions, material thickness, layered or embedded detail, edge and surface finish, joining method and findings. The agreed specification identifies the production processes and inspection points relevant to the design.
The approved product is reviewed with its backing card, care information, protective packing and retail presentation. Any new mould or other tooling is quoted with its ownership and permitted use before sampling.
LICENSED & RESPONSIBLE PROGRAMMES
Approval discipline matters as much as the design.
For licensed merchandise, the customer licensee provides the relevant written manufacturing authorization, style guide and approval requirements. Novelty coordinates development and production against approved artwork, samples, packaging and the required test plan. Work is released only after the programme’s required approvals.
Alternative materials and reduced-plastic packaging can be reviewed for a specific programme. Any recycled-content, FSC or other environmental claim must be supported by the documentation relevant to the selected supplier, material and product presentation before use.
BUYER QUESTIONS
Custom jewelry manufacturing FAQ.
What is the MOQ for private label jewelry?
Standard orders start at 100 finished pieces per SKU. Different colours, sizes or designs are counted separately and each must meet its own minimum. Tooling, uncommon materials, custom finishes or complex packaging may require a higher minimum, confirmed before sampling.
Can I use my own design?
Designs and artwork you supply remain yours. Ownership and permitted use of supplier-developed designs, moulds or tooling, together with confidentiality and development charges, are recorded in writing before sampling.
Do you produce the packaging too?
We coordinate product and packaging development together. Options can include display cards, printed or gift boxes, bags, polybags, barcode labels, care cards and inserts. Dimensions, artwork, pack quantity, protection and carton requirements are approved with the product.
How long does development and production take?
Samples using available references are commonly ready in 3 to 7 business days after the brief, required specifications and materials are confirmed. New colour, finish or packaging work commonly takes 7 to 15 business days. New tooling, unusual materials and revisions are scheduled in the quotation.
Repeat items are commonly produced in 20 to 45 business days after sample and material approval. New development, testing, packaging and shipment requirements are reviewed before the production schedule is confirmed. Production time and freight transit time are quoted separately.
The quotation confirms the sample charge, tooling or development charges, included revision work and any conditions for crediting sample charges to a bulk order. A sample charge is not automatically refundable or creditable.
Can you make jewelry for the US, UK, EU or Australian market?
The product, intended user and destination determine the testing and labelling review, including REACH, nickel release, Proposition 65 or children’s-product requirements where applicable. We can coordinate appropriately scoped third-party testing and the supporting product information. UK, EU, US and Australian requirements are reviewed for the actual order; a generic laboratory logo or report for another product does not establish coverage.
Can you quote delivery for an Australian or other overseas brand?
Share the destination, receiving location, order size, packaging and required timing. EXW, FOB or DDP may be discussed where the route allows; the quotation names the place, included costs and shipping arrangements. Bulk delivery to a warehouse and individual customer fulfilment are reviewed as different services.
